BOISE, Idaho (November 25, 2025)—Visit Idaho’s The 3100™ film project is offto an impressive start, earning seven film festival acceptances in its early run, with more festival selections anticipated soon. “The 3100” gives viewers an inside look at the energy, beauty, and cultural significance of Idaho’s whitewater rivers and offers a glimpse into the people and places shaped by these wild waters, further cementing Idaho’s position as a top-tier whitewater destination.
“The 3100” is a project created in two formats, a documentary and docuseries, produced by Visit Idaho and filmed by Idaho-based Fisher Creative. It showcases stretches of Idaho’s 3,100 navigable whitewater miles—more than any other state in the Lower 48—including the Selway, Bruneau, Salmon, Snake, Payette, Lochsa and St. Joe rivers.
The documentary gives a cinematic look through the seasons of Idaho’s premier whitewater experiences. It gives viewers a taste of the transformative journey shared by adventurers and guides when exploring the wild places that Idaho’s whitewater provides access to and through. The six-part docuseries, streaming on YouTube with nearly 3.5 million views to date, dives deeper into each whitewater experience, further highlighting the jaw-dropping diversity of Idaho whitewater opportunities.
The Sun Valley Film Festival is the first festival to feature an episode from the docuseries. The Bruneau River episode is an official selection and sits alongside the prestigious festival’s star-studded lineup. The episode will screen on December 6 at 11:45 am at the Argyros Theater in Ketchum.
“The opportunity to be selected and showcased at the Sun Valley Film Festival is a true honor,” said Natalie Jushinski, Tourism Manager at Visit Idaho. “‘The 3100’ will resonate with travelers, outdoor enthusiasts and cinephiles as it gives an intimate look at the power and heart-pounding adventure of Idaho’s whitewater rivers.”
The full-length documentary is an official selection at the following festivals:
- Accolade Global Film Competition
- American Golden Picture International Film Festival
- ARTiFACT Film Festival
- Crown Point International Film Festival
- Nature Without Borders International Film Festival
- Oregon Documentary Film Festival
